We can believe in and know perfect love. It is not a fantasy or a fairy tale. Though, we often do not perceive it, it is an ever present gift flowing down from above, always before us, calling out to us, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
You see, there is a lie, as old as the devil himself, that has been whispered in our ears a thousand times, in order to deserve love, you must be good, look beautiful and perform well. But, even when we achieve all these things, the world is unsatisfied and it’s love for us quickly fades.
The question we have to ask ourselves is, are we going to let our past, our wounds, our enemies steal the one thing our hearts have always longed for? Are we willing to throw off the misconceptions, fears and doubts we have about God, so we can know His perfect love for us?
I can see Him now and the tears He cries, longing to heal our hearts, waiting for us to accept His Love. Ever time we choose to believe in this Love, a miracle occurs in our hearts, and we change a little for the better. Over time, our peace, our confidence, our joy will grow stronger and stronger! Truly it is the most wonderful thing you can possess, and it is YOURS for the taking!
